Ray D’Arcy’s Support For The Daily Mile

Avatar photo

The Daily Mile went on tour for a week in mid-June with visits to primary schools in Cork, Waterford, Kilkenny, Donore (Meath) and Swords, writes Frank Greally.

Principals, teachers and children at each of the schools visited were delighted to welcome Ray D’Arcy of RTE Radio who talked with the children and then joined them in The Daily Mile.

Ray interviewed a number of children at each school for his daily RTE Radio Show and The Daily Mile received favourable mention on the show on each of the five days on the road. This was part of the Run with Ray 5K Series – an annual promotion that The Daily Mile is delighted to be part of.

“It was a most enjoyable week of primary school visits and it’s great to see that The Daily Mile is being so well received in schools all over the country,” Ray D’Arcy said.

“It’s an ideal non-competitive daily activity and Athletics Ireland are leading the way in helping to spread the message of fitness and wellness to primary school children all over the country.”
