The Fields of Athenry 10k takes place on St Stephens Day at 11a.m with all proceeds going towards the new track development which opened in May 2023.
The opening marked an exciting time for Athenry AC, local running clubs and the wider community in Galway. Athenry AC have enjoyed record numbers of members into it’s juvenile and senior sections since the facility opened.
The permitted ‘Fields 10k’ race normally attracts 1600 entries annually on St. Stephens Day and is the clubs only fundraising event towards this track development.
